COUGH

The cough is usually dry and persistent in about fifty percent of patients.

FEVER

Although a fever technically is any body temperature above the normal of 98.6 F (37 C), in practice a person is usually not considered to have a significant fever until the temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C).

Muscle or body aches

Muscle pain originates in any of the muscles in the body.

Breathing

Shortness of breath can make it hard to breathe deeply or one may feel winded as if they cannot get enough air into the lungs. Your chest may feel tight to inhale or exhale fully.

Less common symptoms

  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes

In rare cases, COVID-19 can lead to severe respiratory problems, kidney failure or death.
