Dr. Ken is available to provide medical advice regarding any possible Covid symptoms. He is well informed regarding Covid assessment tools and whether a patient requires formal testing. If a patient has been diagnosed with Covid-19, he can provide information regarding how to deal with symptoms and possible treatment options. He is committed to providing evidence based care using current practice guidelines.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Winnipeg and he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Manitoba. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine from the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta. He has also completed some emergency medicine training at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is a full time Emergency Physician. He worked at the University Health Network (Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital) emergency departments for years where he also served as a clinical assistant professor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. He also works at the William Osler emergency department (Brampton Civic Hospital and Peel Urgent Care sites). He serves as our consultant emergency physician. He brings with him a full scope of emergency skills.
Dr. Ken is in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He is a certificant of the Canadian College of Family Physicians and he also obtained has fellowship status with the College. He is a member of the Ontario Medical Association, section of Emergency Medicine, and he has held memberships with the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
Dr. Ken has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
